Pressure has fallen 25 mb since 2AM and it's still 105mph?

Something's not right. Maybe someone should fly the backup plane out there because the one they're using doesn't work..... :lol:

That storm looks badass and the winds are 105 mph?

winds lagged like this before it hit cuba. pressure was way down, storm looks fantastic, winds seemed way low, then suddenly it exploded. Look for similar methinks...

440 PM EDT SAT JUL 09 2005

REPORTS FROM AN AIR FORCE RESERVE HURRICANE HUNTER AIRCRAFT INDICATE
THAT THE CENTRAL PRESSURE OF DENNIS HAS FALLEN RAPIDLY TO 947 MB.
DENNIS HAS REGAINED DANGEROUS MAJOR HURRICANE STATUS...CATEGORY 3
ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON HURRICANE SCALE...WITH MAXIMUM SUSTAINED
WINDS OF 115 MPH. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE EVEN MORE THIS
EVENING.

its amazing what that loop current and its 87 to 90 deg water will do...its real jet fuel......and, silly me, i thought that dennis would have dry air ingestion problems. it appears that the normal limiting conditions in the northern gulf arent operative today. should see winds rise to 130 soon and then ERCs until landfall
