I posted a similar thread (now locked) at the same time (whoops), but here's my on the scene live from my office chair reporting of it:

Whoa! Siedel was reporting on TWC about a big cell moving into Mobile and he basically dropped off the screen, and then popped up freaking out about a huge lightning bolt that had just hit less than a quarter mile away. They tried to show some footage taken earlier and when they went back to him, another bolt hit and he ducked again and popped back up looking like he'd messed his britches, and yelled "WE GOTTA GET OUT OF THIS BACK TO YOU (OTHER TWC DUDE)"

Whew.

It always seems as if something bad happens to Mike when he has to cover hurricanes.

I agree.....and I mean that with a little sarcasm...

I posted about this myself as "light humor".

Yeah, just like back during Isabel when him and AL Roker had close time together (back to the other point as well about bad things happening to him)

Mike reacted like that because he knows that when you put yourself in harms way more than the average guy, sooner or later you're gonna get

KABOOOOM!

well you gotta laugh at anyone who stands out in the middle of a hurricane, all the while telling you to take cover and get ready. I mean that's just funny in and of itself. Good thing the lightening didn't harm him, too bad I missed it!

He's not standing in the middle of a hurricane...
He's about 300 miles away...

I remember watching MSNBC during Isabel when him and BRIAN WILLIAMS got into a good gust of wind between buildings during a live shot and were blown out of camera range.

:roflmao:
