Have you seen 98L's model plots? See cycloneye's thread for details.

I was talking about the MM5. Shows the high retreating into the eastern Atlantic. Under that scenario, both storms head due north.

I have seen them. It looks to be headed for the Yucatan Channel if it takes the southern track. Looks to be another GOM storm at this point. But, I thought the high was retreating???

I dont know, they dont look like they will be GOM storms to me. One might be a fish, the other might threaten the Bahamas.

I was gonna say the same thing. Look how far that particular model shows the Atlantic ridge retreating. If that scenario sets up, both storms are almost certain to re-curve harmlessly.
