Getting hammered already N of tampa....

We're starting to get hammered with very heavy rain and wind already up here in Citrus County, about 80 miles N of Tampa. Heavy rain, wind, etc. Very dark. Didn't think it would start this early in the morning! :eek: I'll stay online long as possible.

Good morning Dixiebreeze. It started here about 6:30AM When that squall came in it got pitch black - and the wind!!!!!!. See my post on Damage In The Tampa Bay Area. Stay safe.

Got hit early in Feathersound but it cleared up pretty good, much wind but no rain.

We're getting absolutely nothing here. Maybe its because I live on the easternmost point of Florida, but still. The winds are calm, with maybe a gust to 20.

Just FYI, the Orlando area has really gotten nothing so far exccept occasional rain and very little wind. I'm sure as the afternoon progresses we'll see a little more of both, but so far the bands have been less than even the typical Summer afternoon thunderstorm (and I am thrilled at that).

Hope all goes well for you guys 80 miles to my southwest, on the coast.

Pretty sunny here now. The streets have tended to be towards the dry side with only occasional quick showers and I would guess our biggest gust so far hasn't been past 15.

After being in the crosshairs all August and September last year, we'll take it!
