Have we heard anything from Havana?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Have we heard anything from Havana?

I'm pretty concerned. A metro area with 2 million people and numerous buildings in disrepair got a direct hit from what was a Cat 2/3 hurricane.

It's going to take a while, when the 149MPH gust message came out
yesterday, they indicated that 85% of power was knocked out and
that there was "severe communications damage"

NBC just had a feed from one of their reporters near Havana.

Seems Havana came thru with the typical down trees etc.., but damage was not to bad, though initial reports are that the southern coast was severely impacted.
