By watching the radar I think so....In also because the small/inner eye is getting ragged/Open on the southwest.

Note that the AF pressure reading of 972 was extrapolated. The NOAA reading of 970 was not.

some of the latest NOAA flight level data does show that the wind field has become much more symmetric

thats the NOAA flight level data. I find that to be far more useful than anything that the AF provides

BTW, that observation that Derek posted... those are MinObs. Go to http://www.etl.noaa.gov/programs/2002/p ... t_obs.html for more information on to decode.

Eventually I'll sit down and build into my large excel file the ability to decode these as well as dropsondes.
