Well...when you think about it, thats just the spray created when the wave hit whatever it did...thats what it looks like to me anyway..

That's not a wave, it's just some clouds that resemble a crashing wave. Look at it in comparison to the telephone poles. The wave would be almost ten stories high.

It's clearly the spray from a wave crashing ashore (looks like maybe a rock beach or seawall?).

Anyway, it's quite amazing if you imagine the amount of force needed to shoot spray from a wave that high. And keep in mind the angle the photo was taken in relation to the poles.

It really is an incredible sight. I'm sure the pic doesn't do it justice.
