Where? I've tried them all. If you know, please share. Would like to leave Mobile.

Here's a link with hotels that accept pets. It's not for a "specific" location though.

I wish I could find something to help people. Maybe they could open the CajunDome or Baton Rouge Civic Center. I don't think the Cajundome ios in use this weekend.
I've got two dogs. A shelter won't work. But I appreciate the thoughts and efforts. I'll keep trying. Maybe if it stays east of NOLA people there will start cancelling rooms. I can get one in NOLA but not sure about doing that right now.

They said tonight on the New Orleans channel that the chances of finding a hotel room in Louisiana or MS right now is scarce. They advised Louisiana residents to look further west for hotel rooms... they mentioned the Beaumont, TX and Houston TX areas... Dont come over East most of the rooms are gone by now... Go West young men and women!

Red Cross in our area announced they would open a couple of pet-friendly shelters in our area for the next event. They finally realized that they were putting people in danger by forcing them to choose between shelter and their pets (many of whom are just like family.) I know I crossed a bridge I shouldn't have in order to get home from work to save my pets (we had flash floods in my area the night Floyd hit, water was down by next morning, this was not the flood you see an TV, my creek feeds into the Tar River, so water from my flash flood worked it's way down and caused the big flood.) Plus all the pets that had to be saved (thanks Animal Planet) after Floyd changed some minds.
