Don't anyone bag on Purdue. I've got his back BIG TIME. In the past on S2K, he's outclassed many a pro met with some of the best analysis on the site. Like the dude said in another thread, he's been too busy to log on much, and hey, in Wisconsin, you don't usually have to worry about tropical weather.

sorry fritz, I dont really know I thought they all came out at those times. I just copied and pasted this from one of ericimia (or whatever his handle is) posts. It seems that all of the posts about the models come up at those times.
sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Those are the times that the models are run at so it takes some time to actually recieve the data.

like the 00z gfs didn't actually come out until after 03z...

How many cat5's have you gone through, i am the least bit scared of this cane. My house was built to withstand cat5's.
Sure i use strong words to grab attention sometimes, that is called marketing.

Ouch, I quess I got burned. Good one.

Anyways I thought the NHC handled this topic very well in the discussion. Seems to be well-established.

I use tracking-the-eye software for my storm plotting.

I would like to plot individual model forecasts. (ex: UK, Canadian, GFS, etc)

You need to ditch Tracking the Eye and get Stormtrakker; many models are automatically plotted, and for the others like the Canadian that aren't, it has a feature where it imports model maps and you click on it and it automatically gets lat-lon from the maps and then plots it on the main map as a line.

Unfortunately there are problems with the site that sells it at the moment, don't have an ETA on when it will be avaliable.
