#1 Postby dixiebreeze » Thu Jul 07, 2005 8:59 pm

Statement as of 4:15 PM EDT on July 07, 2005

... Flood Watch in effect from Saturday morning to Sunday
morning...

The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay area - Ruskin FL has
issued a

* Flood Watch for west central Florida and southwest Florida

* from Saturday morning to Sunday morning

* Hurricane Dennis is currently projected to pass offshore of the
West Coast of Florida on Saturday as it heads toward the Florida
Panhandle. Numerous heavy rain bands are expected to affect west
central and southwest Florida starting Friday night and lasting
through Sunday morning. Storm total rainfall amounts of 3 to 5
inches are possible with isolated heavier amounts in the more
intense rain bands.

A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible during the next 24
to 36 hours. Residents living in flood prone areas should take
action to protect property.

Hope that's all we get
