Big Northern Jog

Looks like Cuba landfall will be within hours. Could significantly hamper development as well as be a problem for the Keys.

Anyone have a good sat loop site. NOAA is down right now...images are missing for their loops.

I can't see the northern jog either. Be careful when dealing with dense overcast on top of the eye. The "dimple" gives you a bearing of the eyewall. Damn, we'll be losing visibles soon!!

All I see is a persistent NW movement at this time. Will likely clip the SE tip of Cuba... possibly making a brief ladnfall south of Pilon.

Here is a large map of cuba for reference (file is large)

Will recon be able to fly in until it moves over Cuba??? No airpsace issues?

A lot of times they get special clearance.

Because cuba benefits GREATLY from our web resources... for weather.
