I didn't catch the Fox 8 Newscast at 5 so I can only go by what my boy Rich said on saintsreport. He's pretty trustworthy so I'm sure what he described was what he saw even though I don't completely agree that the Vipir "nailed" both of the storms in question (probably Arlene and Cindy). Vipir was fairly good on Cindy but that was from 2 1/2 days out. This one has a much longer timeframe.
I have to say that Bob Breck and his new VIPIR tracking system have been dead-on for the 1st two small storms this year, and it just showed it going in west of New Orleans, looked like about Port Fourchon-Intracoastal City to me. It is early though.
And no, I'm not posting this because I live east of landfall. I'm just putting it out there. Additionally, Fox 8 sometimes runs other models on their newscast stating "one of the models does this..." and shows the run in motion. Again, I didn't see it but I'm sure someone could verify this.

I seen Bob Breck on Fox 8 5:00 news. The Viper model which did good on both Arlene,Bret & Cindy this year and Ivan last year brings Hurricane Dennis inland just west of New Orleans. He also mentioned that he has a friend that works at the NHC and was told that Dennis could be a Cat. 4 by the time he makes landfall.

Could be an anniversary present from the tropics.
