While a major hurricane before August 1st is rare, it has happened before.

dang, Hurricane Able 1951 would have to be my fave out of those...hahah, Able was all like


"I'm coming for you Florida..LOOK OUT HERE I COME....aww, just kidding"

then was all like

"BUT YOU CAROLINAS, I'M GONNA GET YOU, BWHAHAHAHA....nah..just kidding, it was fun, but I'm out...see ya!"

hahaha...I bet back then most didn't really know it was out there doing that.
