Come get you some Crow & Humble Pie (self-service)...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Come get you some Crow & Humble Pie (self-service)...

#1 Postby Steve » Wed Jul 06, 2005 10:35 am

Blackened Crow for me. I thought I had this thing nailed down from mid last week when I saw the ingredients were there for a redux of Bret a little further up the western Gulf Coast. We had a trof split. We had upper lows. We had disturbed weather with a wave on its way, etc. My take was somewhere between NE Mexico and the TX/LA border centered somewhere in the south or central Texas coast. I had it as somewhere between a tropical surge and a high-end Tropical Storm unless it moved into the extreme NW Gulf where it would have had more time to get its act together.

So in one sense, I didn't do too badly with the recognition, but on the other hand, I never expected a South Louisiana landfall. That's obviously not good enough.

I'm sure there are plenty more people who might want to step up and grab a big plate of one of these specialties. Dean4Storms comes to mind with his 30 years of triangular, trilateral, tricyclular tracking that showed an eye heading off to the east that was actually a dry wedge. Hey, but he wasn't the only one. So have a laugh at your own expense below.

I'll probably be here later, but until it's north of the Keys without a strike, I don't need any pie ;)

Yeah. It's a chance to come clean as in "eating crow" and having a slice of "humble pie" seeing as so many people know what a storm is going to do and will defend that information by putting their egos on the line until the situation passes and we can all laugh again. :)

My orginal pick with Cindy was MS AL border, I missed, but not by much.

I had Arlene going a little east of where she went, I never jumped on the Bret bandwagon...

Ive called for a PCB, Fl landfall with Dennis. time will tell.

I said Alabama as a strong tropical storm. My psychic powers are messed up a little. I once ate real crow pie and it wasn't to bad so eat up and enjoy.

I though it would hit Central LA.... but let me add this, the Vipir model used by FOX 8 really nailed this thing and predicted it to go n then nne to the MS coast, which is pretty much what it did..
