I agree. This situation is not good for N.O. at all.
I just saw your location, Bfez1. Are you getting prepared yet?

Think of it this way, if this hits you now, you get to wait another 100 years before the big one hits again.
Seriously though, you guys better keep an eye out on this one and don't delay in evacuating. Especially since Cindy seemed to suprise a lot of folks with her intensity, that was probably the best thing that could have happened to the area now if you are faced with a severe storm. The complacency was shattered and people may actually heed the evac warnings!

Hopefully after Cindy people in the NO area are paying enough attention and the newscasters are hyping it up enough so that people that have transportation issues can start planning now what they intend to do. By the same token, city officials can have a couple of days to iron out their plans for mass evacs of the population.

It'll definitely rival the one for Ivan last year. And a big test for their new system.

We can only hope this track does not turn into reality. This is very serious and could get potentially worse if Dennis gets stronger than forecast. Not to wish destruction on anybody else but we need to hope and pray Dennis does not come here. SE LA can not be prepared enough for a Cat3/4
storm by the first of the week. Could 2002 happen again (Lili)? Maybe. 2004 (Ivan) turn to the N and NE at the last minute. Possible. The chances of Dennis going any where else are very good. Chances of him taking this track are very low. Odds in our favor. Thats all I can say for now. Kinda at a loss for words.
