Wait intill hurricane seasons over to be careful. Your likely to have to watch a powerful hurricane soon.

Thanks,

I've lived on the alabama gulf coast and Florida most of my life and I'm thinking I might not go, but..........My boss and 9 other people are also going and don't seem to be concerned. Do you think that the boat captain would/might cancel the trip?

Its all to do with the cyclones track. Right now the best beat is close to where the nhc is forecasting it. I'm saying close to Mobile AL 90 miles on both sides of it. This storm will likely take a track like Ivan,Arlene,Georges into the coast.

How strong looking at how warm/heat is there. A cat3 is very possible with this storm. In believe it or not it reminds me of a weaker Ivan. Isidor also comes to mind.

Dennis should still be about 24-48 hours from landfall, but the last thing I'd want to be doing with a large major hurricane sitting in the Gulf is doing something in the water...

Plus if things verify, evacuations would likely already be in effect.
