The Mississippi Gaming Commission makes that call - and at $500,000
lost per day, per casino, that's an expensive guess to make for them.

I'm sure Treausure Bay will be damaged to some degree (again).

I might be the only one with all my windows covered on the beach in Biloxi right now, but at least I have some piece of mind... putting up plywood certainly easier than replacing broken windows.... time for me to open up that bottle of crown, sit back and enjoy the show....

Moderate rain here, and judging from radar, it's for the duration

It was extremely humid here yesterday and today. I had to work 8:30 am till 8:30 pm today so I didn't get to check online until now.
We had a couple of rain showers during the day and a bit of a breeze, but nothing spectacular yet. Our worst won't come until the wee hours of the morning into the daylight hours if Cindy doesn't turn away from us (and that is a high probability as things look now. If that happens, we'll be on the "weaker" side of her).

Hi I live in Long Beach and work at the Grand Casino Biloxi! Been kicking around today since I am off. It has been an interesting day, what a contrast in weather! It was beautiful yesterday, now as I write this, the weather just continuously deteriorates. Had to get a few things at Save-Rite about half an hour ago and there were a few good gust out there. As far as the casinos, they wait till the last minute to make the call to shut things down!

It has been a few years since I have been around tropical storms and hurricanes so it looks like I am about to make up for lost time. I was born in Coral Gables moved to Atlanta then Nashville then Atlanta again and now here I am on the Mississippi coast. Guess we all have got to take the bad once in the while with the good!

Another good gust went by!

Beautiful Pics, DH. Thanks. Interestingly enough, hardly any boats left on the coast. The shrimp boat harbor behind the Gulfport Grand remained virtually full as well as the Broadwater...
