Appears to be landfalling

Looks like landfall on radar too....Grand Isle area......MGC

In the extreme SE side of Lafourche Parish...many reports of hurricane force winds from these areas....generally around 75mph to 90mph...she's back on the move after some resistance with the land for about an hour. Cindy is headed directly for Metro New Orleans...New Orleans will receive significant rain and near hurricane force winds by midnight to 1:00AM

Shes not landfalling yet, the center is still offshore.

If those reports of hurricane force winds are "good" Sean. Then its hard to believe that its not.

99 mph gusts reported offshore as by KATC.

Power out in Grande Isle, LA.

According to Grand Isle mayor David Carmadelle, power is out, the north side of the Island is flooding, and a tornado has touched down. No injuries, just property damage. Gusts to over hurricane force as well.

Don't bash me for this, but does Cindy look like she is moving NNW all of a sudden. Check out the Baton Rouge/New Orleans radar loops and look how the precip is suddenly spreading westward. I am pretty sure the center is just ENE of Houma. Thoughts.
