from the looks of the latest models... and also historic statistics.. this storm looks like it has no other way of being anything but a texas storm.

No I don't think so. Read Donsutherland's post in the pro-met forum" Dennis Likely to Pose Significant U.S. Landfall Threat"

There are even models hinting at a Florida gulf landfall.. too early to tell lets wait till we get some synoptic data in the models folks

I will not say this is a TX storm, but the models continue to trend west with each run. It is concerning for coastal MS, LA, and TX.

The 00Z tropicals have shifted quite a bit to the west this evening.

I also consider my self a US citizen even though I live in TX. Yes we are part of the US the last time I checked.

I can not remember seeing the models clustered so well for so many consecutive runs. Downright scary in itself!

If it crosses Western Cuba like that, Central Gulf Coast. If it stays south, TX. If it goes north, FL.

Looks like it needs to make a move very soon, if it's going to actually go north of Jamaica. Otherwise it just may just be too far south to be turned northerly by a renegade sharp trough.

I am surprised how many Texans are on here. I lived in Houston before and about gave up on Tropical weather ever coming there.
