The "Guest" is a former member. When we delete an account it turns the username into "Guest".

I agree, but for what it's worth, I think the biggest beef that the mets have is when the try to provide advice and their expertise to amatures and it becomes rejected. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it can be a little annoying when someone claims something is occurring and won't accept evidence that says the opposite.

When I post something it is usally to get a mets attention. I see what I'm seeing on the sat pics ,graphs, etc. But I don't know all the whats and what nots. I like when the mets respond. Just think of me as some newbe student. I think all the amateurs want from the mets is to explain why were wrong on are post. We know the mets know way more than we do. 8-)

Agreed, respect is indeed earned, but just because someone else is not respectful doesn't give anyone else the same right to be that way. Easiest thing to do is be respectful no matter what.

Amen to that!

Do to others as you would have done to you.

That's straight from the world's oldest, best selling book. :D

I totally agree with trying to be nice to others. My motto is "Life is too short not to be kind to one another". I am a new member and have been really turned off at posting because I was attacked because I made an innocent comment or observation on my part. I have also observed other members being put down because of their opinions and observations. I will limit my postings and will lurk because I really do love this site and the input of everyone. Thank you moderators! roll:

Yeah, the moderators provide a mafia-like "insurance policy" for protection.

I'm very glad to see this thread. I have never been attacked personally but have felt a little intimidated to post since I am a complete newby to learning about weather. Kinda felt a little stupid at times asking questions in the past. I know most are here to help and that's why I keep coming back. Glad to see the mods are here looking out for all of us. :sun:
