Third tornado warning of the day for Hancock County just came through. It is lightly raining here, had a strong cell come through earlier but not much rain at my house.

I'm about a mile south of I-10 on Canal Rd in Gulfport and within the last hour just one light rain shower. It's a little breezy and looking south it's getting darker by the minute.

In Picayune: Typical "feeder band" type weather. Hard rain then drizzle, hard rain then drizzle.... Very little wind, occasionally gusting a bit.

It is odd - usually, it's a little more rain than we are getting.

Just drove from Gulfport to Biloxi on Hwy 90. Lots of whitecaps, and the tide's still at the low. Won't be high tide until the morning. Many squalls coming in - and people STILL don't know how to drive in the rain. A few wrecks here and there...

Just took a drive on Hwy 90 from the Coliseum to Courthouse road in Gpt... I saw only one house (other than mine) that had up storm shutters, only one business Sears Automotive Center with metal shutters up, and nobody had any plywood put up ..... Since I have storm shutters on my upstairs I decided to close them, still deciding if I'll put up plywood on my south facing windows.... probably not as it stands at the moment...

Yeah, Frank - seems like business as usual along the coast. Kinda weird, I think. One of these days, I'm gonna figure out which house is yours. I drive by it everyday on my way to work!!

Hey Ixolib I'll make it easy for you.... its the only all white house with teal blue storm shutters ... and they're only on the second floor at the present time, not finished with the ones on the first floor on the front of the house ( want to finish those by the end of July or sooner) .... I'm three houses east of Edgewater Mall.... honk ya horn when ya drive by... hehe
