i've been checking forecast discussiobns around my neck of the gulf...
1. jackson, ms is concerned about the front approaching abd thinks that will pull Cindy more north
2. tallahassee, fl seems concerne about cindy affecting part of panhandle
3. birmingham, al is calling for possible higher rain pops mid to late week (but the cone does show a curve ne after landfall, which could explain that)
4. mobile,al has no info yet (that i could find)
so... what impact will approaching front have? all opinios welcome! i mean, we don't usually get fronts way down here this tiime of year. also, after opal, hurricanes riding up fronts make me worried! :eek:

Well, it's got to become Cindy first.

After that, most models agree to head NW towards the upper Texas
coast. Personally, I believe Louisiana, likely South central or
southeast.

We'll know more in the morning.

This is the track (GDFL) I think "MAY" occur with this TD.

Have a look at this image........you'll see a trough or weakness in the northern gulf and into LA. That should have an impact on the system and draw her more northerly in conjuction with the ridge to the east.

In reference to the original tread, this storm will not hook NE in my opinion. Now it could hook north, I wouldn't rule that out. Once over the Yucatan it will not deepen anymore and stay disorganized, thus the weakness in the ridge forecasted wont influence this system.
