If this trend continues she may be a minimal hurricane at landfall.

Looks like she is comming to see me. I really don't want company. I saw where the winds are 60 mph now and she is still over water. Looks like she will cross the extreame tip of LA--all wetlands and marshes so no loss of strength and possibly a slight gain. I am not too worried but did make a few preparations just in case.

Knew we shouldn't have drank all the beers yesterday. Did you leave any Abita on Metairie Road or do I have to go out further?

Hey Steve, I got a brand new bottle of crown that I'm going to open up with Ms Cindy later tonight ... should be a fun show tomorrow... interesting to see what the Casinos will be doing, esp if we get the Hurricane watches/warnings later tonight, if that even comes to fruition, which right now certainly looks plausible...

In the link posted above to NOAA, they had 29.47 surface a bit south of there (27.1/90.2 ish report).

Steve

Probably smoothed it through quality control the same way the winds were (that 29.47" was part of the 60 knot ob)...

>>That should change late this evening.

It's going to be pretty exciting for you guys tonight. I'd suspect the fun goes from after midnight well into Wed. morning with some really heavy rainfall and squally winds (probably some gales). You guys have seen it all before, but it's always exciting.

>>Knew we shouldn't have drank all the beers yesterday. Did you leave any Abita on Metairie Road or do I have to go out further?

Sav-A-Center on Airline & Labarre had about 20 6 packs of Wheat and about 20 cases of everything else Abita. Something tells me I'll be making my way back to the store (probably on bike or foot) later this afternoon.

Hit on that for me Frank. I'll be looking foward to your reports overnight and tomorrow. I had the whole week scheduled off but I blew it and only took off today.

Love that store. And Starbucks right next door for a little caffeine to clear the Abita haze.
