Is NOAA2 the designator for one of the WP-3s? In any event, launch was scheduled for 10 EDT with it going on station at 1:30 PM EDT.

LATER
This (http://camex.msfc.nasa.gov/tcsp/public_pod.jsp) suggests that the WP-3 "Kermit" is the one that launched for this. (Times on that page are local.... Six hours behind Zulu.)

There are two NOAA planes out there. NOAA2 for Cindy and NOAA3 for Dennis.

Yes, that's the other P-3.

Guess they're looking to get environmental data to plug into the overnight models.
