hope the high holds. I don't want anyone to get a bad storm but Florida has had enough. Depending on the high after Cindy hits it doesn't make me confident. :(

As I too live in Ft. Myers - I ditto Tracy's feeling in the pit of her stomach. Sure hope we are all wrong about this one.

What's ominous is that on July 5th we already have a selection of systems on which to base that assessment. :eek:

And get this: they've all (so far) gone into the GOM. Don't know what "Dennis" will do yet.

It's also interesting to note that it has been a long time since the 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'D' storms all made landfall somewhere. In fact, the last time that happened was in 1988.

That year, Alberto passed through Nova Scotia, Beryl developed over Louisiana, Chris went ashore near the Georgia/South Carolina border and Debbie went ashore in Mexico.

I think it is following the pipeline into the GOM
