He probably means that Gulfport could be in the path....just like everywhere else along the Gulf Coast.

Neither Ivan nor Arlene hit Gulfport. They both hit well east of Gulfport...effects of both storms in the Gulfport area were well below that of their effects in Alabama and the FL Panhandle.
