Storm 2k And When You Are Home

#1 Postby Janice » Sun Jul 03, 2005 10:15 am

You spend a lot of time when you are home on Storm2k. How do you manage to get your work done at home and spend all this time on Storm?

Me... I am on a lot too. I will clean a room, come back to Storm. Cook a meal, come back to Storm. Wash a load of clothes, come back to Storm2k.

I find I can spend a lot of time on Storm 2k and still get almost everything done I need to do at home.

I hope this continues for you Janice. I need to find that balance and spend ~more~ time on this house and ~less~ online (S2K, email friends, reading the news, etc.)!!! But like you, I check this site many times thru out the day, but my trouble is an hour can go by at each check. I need to narrow that down to 5 minutes, not 60 - LOL

I'm on less, because of the work in the flower and
vegetable gardens, but, when they've faded, LOL,
as Arnold says, "I'll be back!"

LOL. I thought I was the only one that jumps around from one thing to another. I'll do a load of dishes, come to S2k, put clothes in the washer, come here, fold clothes a while, come back here, take the trash out, come here........

I have to watch how much time I spend here. It would be easy to spend hours. There's so much else to do. I do get a lot of rolling eyes from family members. One thing I do to ensure domestic tranquility, is to get off when my wife goes to bed.

I'm at home 24/7/365...I come when I can, do what I must, and leave...then the cycle begins anew.

I have given up TV for the most part.

Get news, weather, and everything but entertainment online. PLUS, if I really need TV, I can watch it in the corner of my computer monitor while I am typing!

And I also have the ability to check S2k both from home and from work. When I do so from work, it is generally for a brief dip-in-and-dip-out.

I have not yet given up bathing or eating or sleeping to get my regular S2k fix.

Unfortunately I don't have much time for the computer after work, besides doing my daily observation report. As long as I finish my stuff at work, I can come here as much as I want.
