luis, HUC, abajan et al...........what dates mark the earliest landfall of a major hurricane on each of your respective islands..............thanks in advance for the info..................................rich

Well the earliest major hurricane to make landfall in Puerto Rico was on the 8th of August,1899 a cat 4 140 mph which killed around 3,500 people and it has been the worse disaster that this island has been thru in terms of lose of life.

Hurricane Hugo made landfall in guadeloupe in September 1989.
The pressure at landfall was 941 mb.
