If you look at this system it looks to beforming into tropical depression#3 this morning.... It is 3:30 this the morning and looks to me that a t.d. is tring to pop up this early in the morning and i welcome any thought on this tropical system???????????????????

Yea, it's finally starting to look like something. Convection is still firing right over where the center is proclaimed to be. If it continues this way until sunrise, it should look pretty good. Too bad it'll be hitting land soon. :roll:

I see....This is a very small system kind of like Bret but smaller. The LLC is under the western side of the convection. In which case is showing signs of becoming better oreganized. But it appears to be moving west-northwest at 8 to 10 mph. Which would make the center make landfall with an the next 6 to 8 hours. It is getting better oreganized by the satellite.

I will look at surface obs...

Thanks Senorpepr I thought for a second that something really bad was happening down there.


A LLC has formed an is becoming better defined. It is right in the middle of that small area of convection. But it is moving at the coast in should be inland with an 6 hours.

really not sure what your seeing. Maybe its the east side where most to the convection is. The apparent center is moving a little N of due West and will be inland later today. :D

The system certainly appears much more impressive (in both convention and structure) this morning.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that for sure we will have at least a TD by the end of the day, if not a weak TS (or named storm).

Quite plausible. It looks lik a disorganized Tropical Storm if you ask me. Already looks way better then Arlene ever did.

Yea....that "TD" point you made is probably a pretty good size branch.

a t.d.#3 could form today before landfall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the nhc said it could be a depression before moving inland today :D :D :D :D :D :D

Is that a small ull just north of the system moving nne? There also seems to be an ull wnw of the system.

Buoy 42056 now reporting stronger winds:

Time (GMT) WSPD WDIR
1431 25.3 kts ENE ( 76 deg true )

Approx 30mph sustained winds

with them claiming it has a LLC now... a depression is imminent!
