They are out here too!
After leaving the movie last night we came upon a bad accident, two motorcycles and a car. One was in the median and I could tell that was a motorcycle and the other one was on the roll back (flat bed wrecker) and I could not tell it was a motorcycle, but my sister said it was. The car was all mangled on the driver's side and the girl was standing on the other side crying.
We get to HWY 57 and MS State Troopers had a roadblock to northbound traffic. We went through 5 roadblocks all the way to Pascagoula.

Linda - same here, I saw several drivers stopped. Getting tickets. I rarely go 7 MPH the speed limit (an amount a cop once told us won't get you a ticket, at least this was in Cincinnati). Since I'm basically a Chaeuffeur in my spare time (read mom of teenagers here), I know where all the radar traps are too. I love it when someone's on my tail to go 50 in a 35 speed limit zone. And then we come upon a cop, waiting to catch a speeder. Suddenly that tailgater backs off my bumper....LOL.

If I DO indulge in a margarita (or two, or three), I'm
certainly staying right here! LOL, I've declined from
grilling festivities for things that I want to get done,
here at home, on an extra day off - I've got everything
I need, in advance, and, I'm staying off of the roads!
LOL, Miss Mary, I love it when I pass someone, talking on
their wireless phone, and, they hang up (and wake up) and
speed up to pass me, again, and, the officer comes over
the hill in the opposite lane....gee, what's with the
brake lights?

The inspection and registration on my car always expire at the end of June. A couple of years ago, I was rushing around at the end of June, and there was a glitch with my insurance agent. I had just changed companies and they were supposed to fax documentation to the title agent. Well the fax didn't come and I decided to drive over to the insurance office, to retrieve it. By the time I got there, the insurance office was closed, but unknown to me the fax went out. In the mean time, the title agent completed their work, but by the time I got there, they closed! So I was driving around the fourth of July weekend without my paperwork. As I was driving along the evening of the 4th, we went past a fireworks show. I slowed to see them, and sure enough an officer saw me and thought I was driving erratically. He duly pulled me over. I wasn't drinking, but not having the paperwork, he wrote me up. (In Pennsylvania its a BIG deal if you don't have insurance.) I pleaded not guilty, and in court was able to show that all the paperwork existed - I just didn't have it with me. The judge gave me a break and found me not guilty.

28 EXTREME DUI'S of .14% and higher, 16 blew a .08 - .11% and NUMEROUS Equip. violations (broken headlights, cracked windshields, no tail lights) and that was just LAST NIGHT! I'm off today, I needed it BIG TIME, I was starting to aqquire a BAD ATTITUDE because of that fatal DUI back in April........

Ed....failure to show "proof of insurance" here in Az is a BIG DEAL also. Making a stop, I run the 28's (plates) before I actually MAKE the stop, if they come back MI suspended (mandatory insurance) it's "Book 'em Dan O!" LOL! Having no proof of insurance warrants a citation, now having no proof of ID for these ILLEGAL ALLIENS I pull over......"Phhhft, it's BACK to MEHICO" for AMIGO!
We send 'em to Globe Miami Az for holding, then to Florence, THEN back HOME!
