LIVE 8

We caught some of it but since we were in and out a lot yesterday, couldn't watch the entire event. I read in the paper today aol's live feed was the best way to watch - you didn't miss a thing - except of course sleep I guess. LOL
My family was interested in seeing Green Day, Keane, Sir Paul McCartney, Coldplay, to name a few.

XM Satellite had the concerts live on various stations all day yesterday. I was especially happy to catch DMB and Coldplay. [And, I agree, sunny, Pink Floyd HAS still got it!]
What a wonderful showing of support for humankind, highlighting the people of Africa who survive in conditions we "first world-ers" can barely imagine!
People like Bob Geldolf (sp?) and Bono are admirable role models not only for believing in the possibility of world brother/sisterhood but also working for it. They don't just talk the talk; they walk the walk -- and lead others with them.

This was such a great idea!!! I hope the G8 leaders listen to the pleas of the live 8 organizers. 0.07% of each of the 8's GDP over 10 years is not too much to ask for at all.
As for the concert, it was wonderful!! If only I hadn't missed Paul McCartney's performance. I wanted to see that badly! but missed it. LOL.

Sir Paul was good, Jason! He opened and closed the London show!
