Tropical Weather Outlook
Statement as of 11:30 am EDT on July 2, 2005
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
Satellite imagery and upper-air data from the western Caribbean Sea
indicate that a large area of disturbed weather associated with a
tropical wave is gradually becoming better organized between
Honduras and the Cayman Islands. Upper-level winds are expected to
be favorable for some development during the next day or two as the
system moves toward the west-northwest. Heavy rains are expected to
continue today over portions of the northwestern Caribbean Sea
primarily over Jamaica..eastern Cuba and the Cayman Islands.
Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through Sunday.

Initial reports from my ultralite is.....
winds are strong out of the west at 50ft leaving I-10 south of Mobile, just encountered a flock of seagulls heading to Walmart parking lot in Tillmans corner. Ok now, clear air ahead until we reach cement factory and degussa chemical plant on rangeline rd.
New update in 2 hours when we approach Dauphin Island. I am sure we can get to the disturbed area in about 3 days if we refuel in mid air. Haven't worked out the details of the refeuling but hopefully we can reach an altitude of 5000 ft and glide infrom there.

New developments!
We were approaching Degussa chemical plant when we were suddenly hit with an updraft from one of its cooling towers. The ultralite pitch to an fro and the engine stalled, puttingus in a very serious situation. The plane went into an immediate dive to rangeline road where, THANK THE GOOD LORD, was able to hitch a ride on the top of a 18 wheeler. It was there that we were able to access damages, restart the engine and get the ultralite back in the air. Needless to say, I wish I had packed more underwear for this trip as my first pair has been soiled due to extreme fear and excitement. Now on to my mission, I will try to troll a lil as i enter the gulf, heard the kings were hitting hard south of Dauphin Island, besides I for got to pack food.
More updates as things happen.
