Oklahoma City Tornado Outbreak

#1 Postby tomboudreau » Mon May 05, 2003 1:25 pm

Wasn't the anniversary for the tornado outbreak that hit Oklahoma City in 1999? Kinda of erray that we have another massive outbreak taking place, but I guess since its springtime, this happens. I hope everyone stays safe through this and not many more tornadoes touch down today.

Yes, the anniversary of the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma tornado was Monday, May 3rd, 1999. March is considered the most violent weather month, but April and May can be just as potentially dangerous.

Strong to severe thunderstorms continue into June through August, with the hottest time of the year over the United States along with (high humidity) high dewpoint values and other factors that play a role in severe weather development.
