We are putting my best friend to sleep tomorrow
I can't stop crying.
We have to put my beloved Yorkie; Lacey to sleep tomorrow. I had that dog since I was 15. She is 13 and we got her when she was only 6 weeks old. I was so attached to that dog. She slept with me every night. She has kidney failure and she is really suffering. I am an animal lover and I get so attached. I am really hurting right now.

you poor thing!
that is such a difficult thing to do .... but you are right to do it.... she has lived such a full life.....and she has clearly always been loved. i remember when my parents had to put down the dog i grew up with due to serious back problems....i was so heartbroken.
just remember that her pain will be over, and she will be in a better place...

Oh no, I am so sorry... Condolences from a fellow Yorkie owner/lover. I am so sorry for what you are going through, prayers will be sent to you tomorrow, to be comforted.
Just remember that Lacey loves you and she knows how much you love her. I'm so sorry for what you're going through, just make her as comfortable as you can.

Here's a little something that might help.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Miss Mary
cajungal - oh no, I really feel for you and what you're going thru. I know I will cry a bucketful of tears when this days comes for our family. Our Golden is like my third daughter, I am 'mommy' to her and my husband, 'daddy'. She just isn't a dog to us! I know how very attached you can become to a pet now....(I had a 24 year span without pets before our family got her).
My heart is breaking for you so please vent with us. There are so many pet owners and animal lovers (I am one, big time! I don't even bother snakes!) here at S2K. We'll help you thru this.
(((Hugs)))
