This Cinco de Mayo marks the 8th anniversary of the Ft. Worth hailstorm.
On Friday May 5, 1995, hail almost the size of tennis balls injured several people at the Ft. Worth May-fest...or should I say "Hail"-fest.

How about that, we have the May 3rd, 1999 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Tornado, the outbreak yesterday [May 4, 2003] (and the potential today, May 5th, 2003) and this, the eighth year anniversary of large hail in the Fort Worth, Texas on May 5th, 1995.
Not only is March a violent weather month, but so are April and May... and June through September severe storms often continue with the hotter and more humid air masses over the United States.
