I'd love to - the ground here is completely saturated. If we do get an early TS, the flooding in my neighborhood will be severe.

If I could pack it and send it your way I would! I have waterfront property where it never has been before and shouldn't be!

Oh if I could only make it happen! We are so soggy now that I would hate to see a storm come through here now, we would be swimming out the front door. The St. Johns River is getting awfully high for this time of year, which is not good since the active part of the hurricane season is rapidly approaching.

S. Florida is far above normal in rainfall, more than 2 times the average for June....and we still have several days left. Miami for example averages about 6 inches in June and it's well over 15 inches already.

"Sunshine State" is a misnomer - obviously invented by some guy wanting to earn a buck off of unsuspecting tourists - for every Floridian knows it rains nearly every day during the summer!

I still haven't replaced my rain gauge (dang lab puppy ATE my last one - well didn't actually eat it completely - just used it for a chew toy). I'd be really interested in knowing how much rain we've had in Callahan. We've had really heavy rains lately, yet JAX isn't showing that much rain (that's about 10 miles from here). Ditches fill up quickly now - lots of water in the creeks and such - it's taking longer to drain away. If we have a backdoor storm come through anytime soon, Thomas Creek will be a flood concern for me.

Central FL has actually been spared most of this excessive June rainfall. Go about 150-200 miles S. across S. Florida and it seems like it never stops here!

Orlando International has recorded 14.51 inches of rain so far in June...which is more than 200% the normal...so I don't think you can say that Central Florida has been spared the excessive rainfall. Orlando has recorded rain on 23 of the first 27 days of this month

Agreed, the mosquitos are very bad in Homestead/ FL City, they had over 1000 complaints in one day earlier this week. We have to rush into the door and slam it behind us so none follow, or atleast we keep it to a minimum, already killed 5 mosquitos indoors since the last door closing.
