Shear Dominates The Atlantic Basin

#1 Postby gatorcane » Fri Jun 24, 2005 9:23 pm

There is no way anything will develop anytime soon with all of the shear...when will this letup? This may be the story for the rest of the summer....or maybe it will relax starting in August? :grrr:

It's frustrating, isn't it?

We've got to accept that it's only June. This is to be expected.

from my understanding boca_chris, the shear is letting up some where the system that may develop is right now. Letting up at least enough for it to develop. And also, saying "There is no way anything will develop anytime soon...." is a rather strong statment when talking about the tropics...you never know what will happen. You may be suprised...we COULD have a TD or TS by this time tomorrow...

I know this might not sound nice, but these constant seeming complaints about shear are really sounding like a broken record now.

I understand that you all have your own opinion, and I think that's great, and who knows, you may even be right. But it's June people. This is normal for this time of year! And also, after last year, I CERTAINLY don't hope for another active season.

Yes the shear is low off Fl. Not favorable for a bomb, but certainly enough to allow development.

Is this the first hint of "this season is a bust" thread? I've been waiting!

It's a symptom. It's late June, I never been here for the season in storm2k. Does "the season is a bust thread" start early.

Yes those threads usually are going rampant by this time now. They're just nonstop ad nauseum until a storm forms. (not that I wanna pick on someone's opinion, it's just that it's constantly repeated and gets stale to read)

I'm waiting for the "season is a bust" posts to jump out big time, especially if 94L doesn't pan out.

I remember last season it was a nightmare from mid June to the end of July. Oh man you should read some of the posts. There was one person in particular that drove me absolutely NUTS. She was bringing out analog years and showing where it was a Guarantee that if a storm had not formed by a certain day it was not going to happen. It just gets ridiculous after a while. :x

I'm telling you the truth there where people arguing that if so many storms had not developed by July 31, it was mathematically impossible to even have an average season.
