Mostly to partly sunny skies are anticipated through next week. Temperatures are in the lower 80s as of 2pm Friday. All and all a nice day for the opening two games of the College World Series!

The only fly in the ointment is Sunday night and Monday. The Storm PredictionCenter has a slight risk of severe weather over a good chunk of Nebraska into the Dakotas, but the local NWS office does not have any precip. If I were a betting man, no storms Sunday.

Thunderstorm is imminent. The day started off very hot, blue skies and sunshine. Now I hear thunder and it is clouding up. Tornado warning is blasting on TV for the Parish to my north. And I got to leave for work in 20 minutes! I HATE driving in the rain.

They give 60% chance of rain for my birthday. (June 25th) It is not until next Saturday. So, hope the forecast changes. Because I have plans for the riverwalk and the French Quarter. Would not be good at all if it rains. It seems like every single year, it storms on my birthday!

New forecast just issued from NWS. It looks similar to that of Phoenix, except cooler temps. Basically clear to mostly clear skies through NEXT Friday with temperatures in the 90s. YUCK! (And, of course, some good dewpoints also.)

A strange dog was in my yard acting pitiful, but wierd. A half hour later the bottom dropped out of the sky and rained 2-3 inches in a half hour or so. It was incredible. Our yard was flooded which didn't happen with all the hurricanes combined last year. Tornado watch and flood warnings.

Right now it is in the Mid 90s with mostly sunny skies! :18:, if I must say so myself! ;)

Well, looks like with a slight risk of a t-storm late tonight, we will "cool" off in to the lower 70s. Friday appears to be not as warm (still upper 80s to near 90) with storms in the afternoon and evening.

It's in the 80s in Northern Michigan and very sunny. It's supposed to get hot, even along Lake Michigan where it is usually cooler, very soon.
