Video Update on 94L...and

#1 Postby MWatkins » Wed Jun 22, 2005 5:54 pm

also on Tropical Storm Beatriz. It's a little more detailed than usual for a tropical wave...but it's the first Atlantic system to chew on for a while so I spent a little extra time on some things...

More later...perhaps...and on RadioNHCWX tonight...I'll be on at 10 but programming starts at 8PM...

Outstanding update, Mike. I suggest everyone take a look at it. Very good job explaining the synoptic situation.

Senorpepr...everytime I see your Avatar I wonder what the shield is for - is that military?

Again - sorry for the offtopic post - hopefully it'll just be a quick question and answer! :D

 You're right. It's the Air Force's badge for "Senior Meteorologist" for those who are AF Weather Craftsmen. (It's the badge I wear ever day into work  )

Yep.

There's this ridge here blocking this storm (scribble scribble scribble)

And the trof is digging through here (scribble scribble)

Then the storm squeezes this way (more scribbles)

he he he he he

I should try something like this...

"See, the thing is the storm goes up in here and Boom! It intesifies and Pow! It goes up in here and then goes Boom!"

Hey I just like the new toy... ;)

Well, until Mike starts drawing sweat lines on offensive linemen's butts,
I think he'll be ok.

Hmmm...no sweat lines on hineys with hurricanes....so would tracing outflow boundaries count as the same thing??

Hey Mike...have you considered expanding your show? Maybe you can get a few other guys too...kinda like the NFL on FOX show - You, Howie and Terry can all dress up in snazzy suits and demonstrate (outside on astroturf) how the storm "heads north....fakes south....then spins west....RIGHT UNDER THE TROUGH!!!!"
