CANCELLED!!!Everybody go on vacation

#1 Postby Stormcenter » Mon Jun 20, 2005 4:31 pm

Things should be quiet this week and maybe next. So I suggest
everyone take a vacation and enjoy the rest.
I think next month may be a "little" busier.
But we all know the meat and potatoes of the season
will start in late August and all of September.

We spent last night on Pensacola Beach. Sadly, there are still many hotels and businesses closed. But, wow - the moon shining over the Gulf last night was beautiful! :)

I'm not sure, but I've run a couple marathons and they're pretty tough.

As for my vacation, I think I'll take a cruise....go everywhere!

Interesting reply about the marathons, lol. Anyway, I am scheduled to be a few keys away from there on the 4th. Usually when I am there it rains or a tropical system is near by.

I'm going to Michigan in July.... Where the closest thing they have to hurricanes are November gales so I'm going to be pretty much out of the loop while I'm there. Hopefully nothing stirs up while I'm gone as I'm not too sure I can rely on my neighbor to board up my windows in case of a hurricane. That is the only thing I hate about traveling so far away in the summer, it would take me at least driving 24 hours straight threw to get back to Biloxi to hurricane proof my home....

Every time i've gone on vacation for the past 3 years, a storm has occured... So let's see, expect the next tropical system between June 30th and July 8th, according to my vacation calendar.
