Hahaha I've actually joked about this very idea before. If this giant fan was accidentally aimed just to the west of the storm, it may even speed up the circulation, causing an even worse disaster. :lol: Not to mention, this thing may be seeded with diaper material, increasing the mass of the wind-driven particles in the air, resulting in total distruction!! Funny stuff.

Someday I'll catalog all the crazy things people have proposed to defeat hurricane and whip it out for entertainment's sake when one is bearing down on us.

And another hurricane Sound Off today! The backstory is this: there is a lot of new condo development coming in all over the MS Gulf Coast and as you can imagine reaction is strong and mixed:

Another bright idea

• This is in response to the Sound Off about the giant fan to blow the hurricanes away. Maybe they can make that part of the requirement for the new condos, that each new condo build a giant fan on top of it. That would take care of the hurricanes and make a useful purpose for the condos.
