My wife's knee.....
This may be a strange question, Are there any doctors or nurses on the forum??? Last May my wife fell and broke her kneecap. Everyonce in awhile when the weather changes it will ache. My mother says she may have arthritis in it. Could that be it? My wife is only 32 years old? Just needed an opinion.

yep
Hi Bud,
Yep. You can get arthritis at any age, especially at an injury site. No unusual at all. The same thing happens to surgical sites when the weather turns bad. Aspin works pretty good if your wife can handle it without stomach upset.

Yes, arthritis is likely at some point, but it is probably a little soon for that. Not because of her age, but because it hasn't been that long since the fracture. I also fractured a kneecap ( following ACL surgery) and I definitely sense weather changes in my knee now. My knee still has pins and wires in it, but I don't know if that has any effect on the weather sensitivity or not. I believe it is the fracture itself that is sensitive, because I can also feel it in my tibia which I cracked when I tore the ACL. I also have some (mild) arthritis in my right hand and that does not bother me with the weather changes.
