How can they issue an Amber alert when they don't know who the abdyuctee is or if they're even missing?

I don't know. All I know is I am signed up for the emails, and I would rather not take a chance with the safety of a child. So I pass these on :D

Well I am doing allot of assuming here.. but probably the witness saw the child being dragged into a van. I mean I know if I saw that I would report it too. And the vehicle matches a description from another abduction attempt. Sounds like they have strong reasons to issue an amber alert. I have seen a few "unknown' suspect amber alerts that also have been resolved with the child safely returned.

:(

Ugh.....every parent should warn their kids about strangers every single day...seriously. But even that doesn't always work.

They did a test here that was set up by some organization. Someone told them they had lost their dog and needed help finding him and they tried to lure the child into the woods at a park. Every parent said their child would not go, that they warn their kids, etc. Every single child went. Every single one. Just imagine if he had been a real child molester or killer.

I pray this child is found soon.

and in Pensacola:
(from WEAR-TV)
An ice cream truck driver charged with over 100 counts of child molestation is out of jail.
Judge Ron Swanson reduced 69-year-old William Stafford's bond from 500-thousand dollars to 100-thousand on June 7th..The Pace resident made bail that afternoon.
He is now on house arrest and is being monitored through a GPS tracking system.
Deputies say Stafford lured a 12-year-old and a 17-year-old into his truck, by offering to pay them for ice cream deliveries, then molested them.

What message does this send to the community when a judge reduces the bond from $500K to $100K when the guy has been charged with over 100 counts!!!!!

dont know who they should shoot first, the ice cream truck guy or the judge.

They are still looking for 47-year-old John Smith, a registered sex offender, previously convicted in New Mexico.
If you know where Smith is, please call the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office at 251-937-0202.

and

A Pace man accused of sexual activities with underage girls. . has turned himself in.
Anthony Wills is charged with Lascivious Molestation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Santa Rosa County investigators believe there may be other victims.
