Watching the BOC

Do any mets on here have a take on this?

A couple of days ago some of the models were hinting at a weak low forming in this region. Overall it appears weak and would need at least 24-36 hours of festering to be of any real concern. If it were to hang out in that region for a few days then it may be something to watch as suggested by the GFS on Sunday.

It should be noted that extended guidance keeps fairly low pressures in this region back into the W Caribbean Sea

The BOC still looks disorganized but interesting. I thought by now it would moved inland but it's still there.

I don't think anything is going to develop it's too close to land and probably wind up going into Mexico anyway.

and the NHC obviously think something's going on since they're sending the recon folks in there.

It may just be a precautionary schedule. They have to alert the boys in case they want to have a peek. My gut says they'll probably cancel the mission before it gets off the ground.
