LOL! One local station is a little misinformed....

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

LOL! One local station is a little misinformed....

See if you like this story.....

I just turned the local weather on, and they were mention "a heavy pocket of heavy rain" for much of our viewing area (Northern/Central Lower Michigan). They didn't even seem to mention a front or low pressure system!

But then came the crowning moment. They then said that Arlene was now over OHIO. Um, they need to look at a radar over the past few days. The rains in Michigan are coming from none other than ARLENE! And the center is definitely over Michigan.

BTW, I am not in Grand Rapids right now....I am home for the summer. We've had a few sprinkles in my area and it's very cloudy, but nothing major.

Oh, one more addition! I looked a national radar. There are some scattered showers and maybe some thunderstorms over Ohio, that might be sorta leftovers from Arlene. But the main rains from Arlene are ALL over Michigan.

Clare has nearly an inch of rain, and nearby Mount Pleasant, where Central Michigan University is, has well over an inch.

And where I am, which is for the summer a town called Charlevoix, it's just cloudy.

Well, we all knew Arlene would still be doing some small damage in the North. Good job to local stations...
