Welcome aboard!

As for the waves - I don't expect any development to threaten the US
in the next week. We may see something develop near Puerto Rico,
but that system would move out over the open Atlantic, should it develop.

Welcome to the board Bocagirl66. You will very quickly find that this board is what most of us call our "legal addiction"...it can be very addicting on here...*Sigh*...ANYWAYS....I would agree with dhweather that there is nothing in the near future going to be affecting the US...near as in the next few days or week...but as you can see in some of the other topics there is already talk and speculation about some of the waves and lows that are out there....and in the tropics...especially after the seasons we have had recently and even this season already....ANYTHING is possible...so just sit back, relax, and then go crazy with the rest of us when things get fired up :) Have fun!

11-14 days out but the storms will roll

some longer range models hint at slight development but conditions in Caribbean are messy at best that includes the upper atmosphere. so give it about 2 weeks and we should see another storm. i think arlene is pathing a path for others to follow, not literally, but just a hunch...

As for that area of low pressure south of the Islands, the 12z Gfs looks to take it out to sea. However, it does try to spit out a piece of that energy westward into the GOM over the next 24-36 hrs. but really does'nt do a whole lot with it. I'm not saying anything will come of it, only time will tell. But, IMO it won't be long before we do see our next system. Thats not a forecast, only a feeling. LOL.
