Spinoff Rain

My area of Jacksonville did not receive any heavy rain yet. The few bands that moved through yesterday only produced about 2/10" in my rain guage.. It's pretty dark outside right now and looks like we'll get a little bit this morning.

It's raining here in Callahan (north of Jax - west of JIA). Not sure when it started, but it's been a light steady rain since I woke up at 8:15 a.m. Went to check the rain gauge - but the @#$@% dog (lab puppy) has EATEN it (well, pulled it up and chewed on it).

Hey...thanks for posting that URL...I hadn't seen that site before - pretty cool radar and sat images!

Still raining over here but not as dark as earlier. There's 5/10" of an inch in my RF guage now.

I would hate to be driving on I-95 today. It looks like the spinoff rain is just going to follow it to Jacksonville all day. :eek:

If I were at work today.. I'd be in "SkyWatcher Mode" lol..I am the official hurricane tracker @ Wal Mart.. and the 1st line of defense if severe weather strikes.. lol

Hey Alacane - what kind of center and where? I'm also in Call Center Ops - we're starting a new center in J-ville next month - of course disaster recovery/contingency planning is a big piece of our start up plan.

Today is a 'stay in your jammies on the couch' kind of day - unfortunately, I've got to go out <sigh> My mom has a booth at the "Blueberry Festival" in Callahan today - so I have to put in the obligatory appearance - and my youngest daughter reminded me that her friend's birthday party is at 4 pm (ask me if I have a gift - of course not! Hmmm...wonder if a 9 year old wants something from the Blueberry Festival??? Maybe a lovely jar of preserves? Or some blueberry ice cream?) :roll:
