Yes, and we thought the models were moving her too fast...

Looks like Arlene is trying to smack a little humility into us as a looonnng season gets started.

AN INTERMEDIATE ADVISORY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL
HURRICANE CENTER AT 1 AM CDT FOLLOWED BY THE NEXT
COMPLETE ADVISORY AT 4 AM CDT.

They may do 2-hour advisories beginning after 4am. They usually only do it if the center can be easily tracked(on radar).

About the WNW motion... WOW. Back to the west again...

LOL she's definitely the opening act...and if the opening act is any indication...we're in for a rough ride.

Don't you love Stewart's discussions. This storm has been a pain for me to track, I can't imagine trying to to tell the whole northern gulf coast where's it's going when the dominant circulation keeps changing.

Yes she has defied all expectations. Amazing for the first 10 days of June. Maybe I'll catnap between updates!

This reminds me of last year when piddly little TS Matthew was barely struggling across the gulf. When I went to bed that night, it was so certainly going towards FL. All the models and tracks brought it well under and past LA. Well, when I woke up, it was coming straight over us with white caps starting to form from the flood waters in the yard.

Just remember, don't bet on ANY tropical system. They can and will prove you wrong.
