Media is all over this

#1 Postby tallbunch » Fri Jun 10, 2005 3:09 pm

I don't think I have ever seen such a media circus over a tropical storm. The national news are reporting about it every 1/2 hour. Usually, its not until a hurricane is out there. Anyone notice that?

They are bored waiting on the MJ verdict. If that had come down today, they would not have mentioned this at all.

Hate to say it... but my thoughts exactly. Mike is probably having a fit that a tropical storm is getting more attention then him!

Earlier today, Fox news took a live look at Pensacola Beach, 8-) I missed what they had to say though. Didn't tune in in time!

sensationalism.

After Florida getting pounded last year, the media will be all over any storm that comes near the US this year.

Pretty much, Ron...pretty much...

You would think after the absolute CHAOS that erupted in this place last year, they would at least afford the news, like, 2 minutes of their time...

Nope...

If it's not the Bachelor, or OLTL, fuhget about it...

This is spring training for the media. TWC always shows up for the first TS of the year. But the fact that it's heading for Pensacola bumps it up to the front of everyone's newscast, I guess.

Not a surprise after last year in Fla that media would be all over it. The first storm is probably gonna affect the same people the first Fla storm Bonnie did last year and of course Ivan. Guess Fla is getting its storm out of the way in June this year so we can relax the rest of the year maybe 8-) Of course how many time was that said last year so ya never know.

Funny how it may hit Pensacola while TWC is there and during Hurricane week

 Kinda like mother nature said, speaking of hurricanes, heres ya one now

I had to laugh to myself about that. Jim Cantore was just here on Sunday, and now he's back again.
