Jackson and Harrison counties are feeling it now, won't be long before it
reaches Hancock county, then St. Tammany Parish.

Yea we have White Caps out in the Gulf from Pascagoula which is very unusual and wind gusts and light rain.

Mary

Plus it's high tide so the water is up in the bayou next to me, but not over the banks, just rough water when its usually pretty still or either running in and out with the tide.

And in Gulfport!! Wind is gusting pretty good and we're actually rocking - which isn't as common as one would think...

maybe DH could change the title of the thread to current MS Coast conditions....then we can say what is going on...don't see any point in making another thread, there are so many already.

Good idea - DONE!

All of my Mississippi Homies can put their observations here!

Maybe a mod will make this a sticky for the duration of Arlene?

Thanks mods for making the sticky - so everyone on the Mississippi Gulf Coast can post conditions here, in one nice thread.

thunder early this am

#18 Postby frederic79 » Fri Jun 10, 2005 2:02 pm

some squally weather about an hour ago in Gautier, dark clouds but it is lightening up some now. It's going to get bumpy before all is said and done. The max gusts in Ivan were only 60 mph, sustained around 40. Depending on where Arlene makes landfall, we may see more than that.

I'm really starting to think we will get a lot more rain out of this than I first thought - the convection is wrapping around more and more. We may have a hurricane by tonight.
